Caring for your Pool Tables the Right Way
69
Any house with pool tables just adds more fun and excitement to the members and visitors, as well. Entertaining billiard tables with an additional elegant pool balls are just not fun but also adds a sense of fashion in the room. Knowing the rules of billiards is rather easy but playing and mastering it might take some time. Pool tables are not cheap. Once you have bought one, you will have to properly take care of it and the bumper pool balls that come with the purchase to ensure that your possession will last you a long time.
Maintaining Your Pool Table
The Top Surface of the Billiard Table
When uncovered, the cloth covering the pool tables will somehow accumulate dust and even fur after some time. Additionally, the cloth can also be worn out after a couple of usage. To make it look like it has just been bought from the store, you may brush the top surface regularly. Once you started brushing the billiard table, make sure that you keep that stroke and not stray away. By doing so, you are able to remove dirt, chalk, and hair from the surface. Vacuuming the brushed away dirt, lint, and chalk in the same direction as the brushing stroke comes after. Lastly, cover the pool table when no one is using or playing with it.
Dusting and Polishing
Most billiard tables manufactured and sold in the market have legs made of wood. Wiping it and the rails with a soft and clean cloth is the first step. You have to polish it regularly using furniture polish while also being very careful that no polish must get into the cloth of the pool table since it will be harder to remove the stain, if it happens. If the legs and the rails are plastic, there is no need to polish them at all, after wiping them.
Shining the Pool Balls
Only a few people have the initiative to also include polishing the pool balls while cleaning. Do you want to put dirty pool balls on your billiard table after finishing cleaning its tabletop? You would not want to do that, absolutely. Wiping the pool balls with clean cloth will rid of the dirt and fur which has amassed in the bumper pool balls. Cleaning the balls will help for a longer pooling experience.
How to Take Care of Your Pool Cue
Handle Cue Sticks with Care
Cue sticks are an important part of the billiards experience. Without them, you will surely not be able to get a good game. Handle your cue sticks with utmost care as well. Do not get them wet. When tidying up, wipe them with clean and dry cloth to eliminate the chalk, fingerprints, and dust that built up in the cue sticks over time.
No gaming or sports experience will be memorable and enjoyable if the equipments being used are not that wonderful to look and use. Proper maintenance is a must if you wish to totally have fun playing pool.
